Gates open at 10:00 AM sharp. Come early to catch all the action — from the trail rides and car show to live music, contests, and more.

🎟️ How do I buy tickets?

You can purchase tickets directly from kyhoedown.com. Click the “Tickets” tab at the top of the page and follow the link to check out. Make sure to get yours early — prices may increase and space is limited!

👶 Is this event family-friendly?

Absolutely! Kids 12 and under get in FREE. There will be food, music, and fun activities suitable for all ages.

However, please note:
🔞 After 8PM, the event becomes strictly 21+. Anyone under 21 must exit at that time. Security will be enforcing this rule, ANYONE underaged WILL BE REMOVED

☔ What if it rains?

The Mid-Southern Hoedown is a rain-or-shine event. Please come prepared for outdoor conditions.

🐎 How do I book a trail ride?

Trail rides are hosted in partnership with Red Fern Riding Center, located in scenic Shelby Trails Park. Each ride is 45 minutes long and spots are very limited.

To reserve:

• Visit the Trail Ride page

• Follow the booking link to Red Fern's site

• Submit all required information & waiver in advance

• Arrive 15 minutes early — late arrivals may forfeit their ride

• No refunds. No exceptions.

💃🏽 Is there a dress code?

There’s no formal dress code — but you’ll want to come ready to turn heads. We’re hosting a Best Dressed Contest, so bring your cowboy hats, boots, fringe, rhinestones, and Southern swagger. Prizes and bragging rights are on the line!

• All ages welcome during the day

• After 8:00 PM, the event is strictly 21+

• Guests under 21 must exit the grounds by midnight

• IDs will be checked by security

💥 What items are not allowed?

For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, the following are strictly prohibited:

• 🚫 NO Weapons of any kind

• 🚫 NO outside alcohol

• 🚫 NO illegal substances

• 🚫 NO disruptive or threatening behavior

• 🚫 NO TENTS

• 🚫 NO COOLERS

This is a ZERO-TOLERANCE event. Any guest causing trouble or violating these rules will be removed immediately — NO EXCEPTIONS, NO WARNINGS

🎶 What kind of entertainment can I expect?

We’re mixing Southern Soul, R&B, country, live band performances, DJ sets, and more — all curated for a day (and night) of dancing, laughing, and line-stepping your heart out.

🍗 Will there be food and drinks?

Absolutely! The grounds will be full of food trucks, vendors, and Southern eats, plus bourbon tastings and other drinks available for purchase. Come hungry!​

🧾 Can I get a refund on tickets?

TICKETS ARE NON REFUNDABLE AND NON TRANSFERRABLE.  All ticket sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be issued for any reason. 

❓ Can I be a vendor

Yes! We’re accepting applications from both food vendors and non-food vendors (boutiques, merch, artisans, etc.).

🍔 I have a food truck. How do I apply?

We’d love to have you! Food vendor spots are $250 and include a designated space to set up and serve at the event.

Absolutely! Non-food vendor spots are $150 and are perfect for boutique goods, crafts, art, and more.
